Wow I can’t believe I got another award!! Maybe I shouldn’t feel too special because I haven’t gotten very many but hey, it makes me feel good anyway and that’s the point of awards, right? 🙂 I’ll take it! Thank you wafflemethis (https://wafflemethis.wordpress.com/) for the amazing award nomination!!! ❤
Select 15 other blogs you want to give the award to.
Do some digging if you must! Find those blogs. You cannot nominate yourself or the person who has nominated you.
Write a post to show off your award! Give a brief story of how your blog got started, and give a piece or two of advice to new bloggers.
Thank whoever nominated you, and provide a link to their blog.
List who you’ve nominated in the post.
Make sure to also attach the award itself! (You can do this by right-clicking, saving, and uploading the image above).
Comment on each blog and let them know you’ve nominated them.
Provide a link to the award post you created.
Provide a link to the original post on edge of night (in case this link doesn’t work, here’s another link to it: http://eveofnight.blogspot.co.nz/2014/10/lets-celebrate-whos-up-for-award.html?m=1). That way, anyone can find the original guidelines and post if needed, and we can keep it from mutating and becoming confusing!
How my blog came to be:
Well, I’ve wanted to write a blog for years, but I never thought anyone would care or be interested in my life or what I have to say so it went on as a wishful goal for a long time. The blog became a reality once I started writing my autobiography. I started off using blogher.com and it was good for a while. I used it to share my chapters to see what sort of response I would get. Well, I stopped posting once the possibility of publishing became a reality so that I would actually get book sales instead of everyone reading it for free online. I switched to wordpress because it’s so much easier to customize your blog and it seemed like a much better venue to be open and be yourself and talk about your opinions with others that have the same interest as you and want to read about what’s going on in other people’s lives. With blogher, once I stopped posting about my autobiography, I stopped getting readers. Either way I’m so happy I switched. I love sharing my world with all my new friends and reading about yours. Now that I’ve gotten a taste of how wonderful blogging can be, I don’t think I’ll ever stop. The support is amazing and I would be crazy to abandon that.
What would I tell new bloggers?
In the beginning, you won’t have a lot of readers and that’s OKAY! Start following and reading other blogs and you’ll gain readers and followers that way. Just don’t get down or give up because you have a lot of readers to start off with. Get a network going and watch your blog grow from there!
Nomination time! I know not all of you will repost and that’s okay, just know I recognize and love reading your blogs! They aren’t in any particular order either 🙂 I love you all the same!!!
Thank you all for the entertainment every day!!! I consider you all my friends, and some of you family!!! Especially you, wafflemethis 😉 haha. Thanks for reading, everyone 🙂
