About

I’m 26 years old, female, my zodiac sign is Cancer, Chinese Zodiac is Snake… I love to read and write like just about everyone else on this website. I have a very sarcastic sense of humor. I haven’t graduated college but I’m working on that. It’s my dream to get my autobiography published which was finally accomplished September 23, 2015. Buy it here:

I’m now working on other novels that I’m hoping to one day get published as well. I have a day job that I enjoy, but hope to not need once I start getting more of my work published. That’s my ultimate goal: make a living out of what I love to do, and that is writing.

  1. River, The following is in reply to a certain book review. You may delete this or put it elsewhere. I just don’t know where to leave it.

I am not sure what to think. Oh I wish I could just get the book and read it.
Part of me is angry at the reviewer. Very angry. ( It may be a little personal since I like you and I don’t know her. ) I feel as if she put her personal feelings toward your book because of what she sees every day in her country.
Your book should have no bearing on what horrors she has seen.
Your book was about one person. YOU.
Again, I haven’t read the book but the title to me is very clear.
I think her choice of words were uncalled for,
“Aside from its lack of excellence, the story doesn’t seem to be in accordance with the title. Throughout the blatant narrative, I didn’t find anything regarding the way Hayden became a survivor of sexual abuse.”

    Why use blatant narrative?
You didn’t do anything wrong. They did it to you.

    bla·tant
    ˈblātnt/Submit
    adjective
(of bad behavior) done openly and unashamedly.
    “blatant lies”
synonyms: flagrant, glaring, obvious, undisguised, unconcealed, open; More
completely lacking in subtlety; very obvious.
“forcing herself to resist his blatant charm”

    The first paragraph bothered me.
“Everybody has a story to tell, but not everybody has enough courage to tell it. R.R. Hayden is definitely one of those who has no qualms about washing her dirty linen in public and risking people she cares about throwing furious anger on her way just so she can free her mind of traumatic childhood memories she has and heal. Writing each of those memories out is the only way she knows to accomplish them.”

I am sorry and I may be wrong, but I felt like she was putting you down for telling your story.

River, I am proud of you for leaving her review on your blog.
I hope you understand what I mean here.
    You wanted our opinions.
    Hugs My Friend.

I get it and thank you for your opinion. It made me angry too. I’m just trying to keep in mind it’s only one person’s opinion – not everyone will feel the same about it. Your comment made me feel a lot better about it. I feel blessed to have you supporting me, blessed to have you by my side, and blessed to call you a friend. Thank you thank you thank you ❤
